Travis Scott

Wedding & Event Planner

Travis has more than 5 years experience in event design and execution, having successfully created more than 300 events hitting budgets from $2,500 to $750,000.  With his vast experience ranging from winery events, dinner parties and county festivals to Weddings and Sales Events.  His professional connections across the Bay Area and Wine Country allow him to provide you with the best our region has to offer.

As an event professional I live in a world of budgets, collateral production, advertising contracts, weather back-up plans, favors, rentals, corporate sales goals and most times a wide range of emotions, family pressures and friends with hurt feelings.  Along with all that, I’m also exposed to the wildly intense romance that a bridal couple is about to celebrate, not only at the wedding but, in photographs, on film and sometimes on the glossy pages of a bridal magazine.

Through all of the design, planning and emotions – the most important part is my getting to know the bridal couple.  After all, the event we are planning is a “wedding” the formal celebration of your relationship, the formal start to your journey of togetherness.  If there is ONE thing that a couple should remember about this process it’s exactly this.

When I meet with a client for the first time – it almost always starts the same way “stiff”, most bridal couples always want to instantly “talk business”.  No matter the location…cocktail lounge, restaurant, my offices or at the venue, I see the same “stiffness” – that overwhelming look on the couples face – where to start?  I always take a nice deep breath and ask “tell me about the first time you met… Not the first date but, the first time you met.”   Stories of fate, romance and humor are abundant and I can’t tell you how many laughs and tears have been shed in those first few minutes of these meetings.  This is where the planning of a wedding really begins – at the beginning of the relationships story.

At this point can I begin to create a day worth of being called “your wedding” and I’m blessed that at this point couples let me inside their jokes and stories.  A wedding is a few moments in time that celebrate your journey of togetherness.  And together we will create the gateway to your journey.  Your Wedding Day.

Dear Travis,

As we reflect back on our big day, we could not be happier with how the entire day went. We know this is because you played a huge role in making our day go smoothly. A million thanks for everything you did!

From our first meeting at the venue, I knew working with you was going to be great! You offered amazing ideas for a unique set up at our venue that meshed great with our theme. You carefully listened to our vision and recommended vendors to help that vision come to life. Having your great insights at our tastings with multiple caterers was also a huge help. Thank you for taking the time on the weekend to attend all of those tastings and for taking such great notes. When it came time to negotiate our catering package, your work with the caterers was amazing and we appreciated how you were able to get us all we wanted based on our budget goals.

Perhaps one of the greatest feats you managed wonderfully was our relationship with the venue and rental vendor. Both were very difficult to work and your attention to detail and persistence saved us a lot of time and stress. Thank you for all your dealings with both! Also, two weeks before the wedding when we were traveling like crazy it gave me great comfort to call you everyday to check our progress with everything. Thank you for keeping me calm and collected in the last days before the wedding.Countless people who attended our wedding commented on how great you were! Your hard work did not go unnoticed and all of our vendors also appreciated how organized and efficient you were. I loved how on the day of I did not have to worry about a thing and if we needed anything you were there with a snap. You are truly a superstar wedding coordinator with a great attitude and an obvious passion for your work. Any bride would be lucky to have you coordinate her big day! With love and gratitude...

My husband and I got married in Mendocino County, California in September of 2011, and I can say with 100% assurance that our wedding was a success because of Travis Scott.

I did most of the planning for our wedding myself, up until about 6 months before the wedding. It was at that point that I realized there was no way I was going to be able to do this all on my own. I needed help, and I needed it fast. I work for the agency that heads the public relations campaign for Mendocino County, so I’m fairly well connected within the community, and when I started putting out feelers as to who might be able to step in and take the reins, it was Travis’ name that came up again and again.

From the first moment my husband and I met Travis, we knew that he was a dream fit. He immediately put our minds at ease with both his open manner and his level of professionalism. He was very accommodating to our requests, and very knowledgeable about what we needed to do moving forward.

Normally, a wedding planner works with the bride and groom from the beginning of the planning process up through the day of the wedding. Travis was diving into things with us a in the middle of the process, after we had already hired a caterer, a DJ, a photographer, etc. He was able to step in seamlessly and pick up where we had left off, handling such elements as our chair, glassware, table runner and lighting rentals, and most importantly, he was to be 100% responsible for the all-important day-of coordination.

And all I can say is — thank goodness for Travis Scott. We had multiple issues arise the day of the wedding — our caterer showing up late and intoxicated, an understaffed bar, not enough servers to pass and clear food and plates — the list goes on. Sounds like every bride’s nightmare, right? Although Travis had nothing to do with our caterer’s incompetence (we had hired her long before Travis ever came on board), he stepped in, stepped up, and completely saved the day! Through his herculean efforts, he made sure that not a single wedding guest even noticed that there was a problem - a feat that to this day, I’m not really sure how he accomplished. He’s just THAT good!

I work with a lot of event planners in my line of work, and Travis is truly one of the best. His level of professionalism, his vast experience in planning all types of events, and his ability to stay cool under pressure and avert seemingly potential disasters make him a super star in my book, and I am honored to have worked with him. Just as he did for us, Travis will do everything in his power to ensure that the bride and groom have the most magical wedding ever.
